BBA Media provides exciting and innovative media opportunities for the West London community. Based at our studios in Southall, the main focus of our programmes is to deliver that bring about social gain.
At the heart of BBA Media’s work is to offer accredited training and work opportunities for local people. We are currently recruiting for the following programmes:
'My Life' Project (funded by MEDIABOX)
Are you aged 13-19?
Would you like to work in the media?
Do you have a creative spark?
We have 60 places available for an exciting two stage radio project (training and creative). The programme will begin with a 30 hour OCN accredited course in one of the following areas:
* Radio Presenting & Interviewing Skills
* Radio Production
* Audio Editing
Having completed the training element, learners will then move onto the creative stage of the project which will be to work in groups to produce a 10-minute radio docu-drama about an issue currently affecting young people. Learners will be assigned various project roles in Research. Script Writing. Narrative. Voice over work, Producing and Editing.
The completed docu-dramas will air on Westside FM and also be distributed on CD's to the local press, libraries, schools, colleges town halls, youth centres, etc. An end of project exhibition will also take place allowing local people to come and hear about the project.
