BBA Media

Westside FM is operated by BBA Media, an experienced organisation specialising in broadcast and community projects in West London since 2000. Over the past few years, BBA Media has delivered many short term radio projects aimed at the local community and in particular many marginalized groups in West London. This has included live broadcasts, community forums and media training initiatives. BBA Media provides a platform for discussion and debate for the real issues that affect our communities.

We have taken huge steps towards preparing ourselves for a sustained period of local community broadcasting. We have accomplished the following:

• Completed five separate short-term RSL community projects in West London since February 2000
• Secured suitable premises in the heart of Southall, West London for studio and office
• Constructed fully air-conditioned broadcast studio & production unit
• Purchased state of the art broadcasting equipment
• Made extensive links and partnerships within the community
• Held community forums for younger people and migrant communities
• Trained up to 100 volunteers in broadcasting and production skills
• Developed and nurtured raw talent from the local area by offering real work experience opportunities

The response to BBA Media's radio projects has been phenomenal since our first broadcast - BBA Radio in February 2000, including London's “ Time Out” Magazine [Feb 17-24th] selecting us as "PICK OF THE WEEK" saying: "BBA Radio is as fresh a station as you're likely to hear.
